Word XP merge with Outlook 2002 produces SQL command message

Users on XP workstations with Word XP perform merges with contacts in
Outlook 2002. They begin in Outlook Contacts and then perform the mail
merge into Word.

They receive the following message:

Opening this document will run the following SQL command:
SELECT * FROM C:\(path)\Temp\OMM7.doc
Data from your database will be placed in the document. Do you want to
continue?

Happens on numerous workstations and is frustrating to users. Does
anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
