Word XP

When printing a photo in word why does it come out about 5-10 mm smaller
than the size I typed in for it to be? Used to be ok in Word 2000 but XP
won't let me do it right. If I type in the text box size it's ok but if I
type in the size of photo it's smaller.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Try setting the default measurement units to millimeters.
Word might be losing some accuracy in converting to/from other measurement
units.
