Word XP

I'm using my partner's PC which has Word XP but the typing will never go as
far as the right margin and it's as if it's got a bug in it. It doesn't
matter what right margin you set the computer stops short of the right margin
by about 2 cm. This has happened only recently because I have a Letterhead
template (not in templates) with our address in the top righthand corner and,
if I use this, the typing goes as far as the right margin.

I have tried taking out my address of my Letterhead template and then saving
this as the Default in File, Page Setup, but when I call back the NORMAL
template the typing still stops 2 cms in. If I go into Tools, View and tick
Text Boundaries, there is a box which is 2 cm in from the right margin, but I
cannot drag it out to be the same as the right margin.

Does anybody know what has happened and how to correct it? I think my
partner must have ticked something somewhere and doesn't know what he has
done, but I'm blowed if I can work out what has gone wrong.

might be the pre-sets
from the printer that
are overriding your
margins...

It's my printer a Hewett Plackard Deskjet 3845 model and it never did this
when it was hooked to my PC, also using Word XP. My partner was the Race
Director for a funning club and I suspect that some of their forms have
corrupted our Normal template. I just call up my letterhead (which seems to
have the right settings), delete my address at the top and use this, but I
cannot save this to our templates as then it becomes corrupted. Anyway thanks.
