I am attempting to create a list of names (631)using word
mail merge from an excel file. when I merge the file I
lose some of the names. Can someone tell me how to
correct this ? I am Using Word & Excel 97.

See if this gives you the correct result:

- Activate the "Select method" checkbox in "open data
source"

- You should get a list of connection methods, and the
default DDE will be selected. Choose one of the others (you
can test which one you like best)
