Version: 2008 Processor: Intel Word was working fine until a sw download pop-up told me to install a new updated version. I did, and now I can't open the app at all. it's asking for a product key code but the app was installed on my computer when I got it - I don't have a product key code. How do I undo the update?

Hi,

Apparently the product key you are using is also being used by someone
else - perhaps the person who installed the software on your computer
originally. Unfortunately, even some computer stores have been known to
use product keys over and over again hoping no one will notice.

You could contact the store or original owner and ask them to give you
their product key, but that would mean they would have to buy a new one
instead of you. Someone's going to have to spring for the purchase.
