word2000, close button missing if multiple files are open

any one else have this problem: in Word2000, if you have
multiple documents open, the close button disapears on the
upper right hand corner (although the main close, min &
max are there, the file one's are gone, until there is
only 1 file open)

The buttons on the window are for the window, and the window is the
document. See http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Customization/SDIMDI.htm. The
only reason there are two when there's only one document left open is to
allow you to close the document without quitting Word.
