Word2000 vs Word97

Has anyone seen a problem with Word 2000 when you open a document
created in Word 97 which includes pictures, the formatting becomes screwed
up? The pictures are overlapping each other and nothing is in the same place
it was before.

If I open the same picture on the same computer using Wordviewer the format
doesn't get messed up. I tried changing the Word 2000 format to Word 97 in
the compatibility option but the same thing happens.

Hi.

I have always found Word (97 & 2000) notoriously unstable with images.
Especially when moving between apps. My cure has been to set images and text
inside text boxes and this works fine. The text boxes stay put.

I recommend when using images and/or text boxes, that everything is imbedded
within a text box. Typing into the sheet outside an image or text box simply
does not work. Everything starts moving about - usually unpredictably -
relative to the return key and spacebar.
