When receiving an updated Word file by Outlook, we get a question asking if
we want to merge the new file with the same one we have on the C Drive. We
can answer "YES, NO or NO and don't ask anymore". That last choice does not
work by the way.
If we answer YES, the file opens with suggested changes, but instead of
considering the received file as the new version, it uses the file on hand as
the newest ! This is nonsense since the file received should replace the old
one ! If I want to use the old version, I will not open the new one !
This function would work wonders for people like me who work on large files
from different places (but on different computers not linked together) and
e-mail the updated version as needed so that I can continue working with the
newest version all the time. Right now, I have to always remember to "save
as" and replace my old file.
