I am working on a small document. I have used frames,
inserted caption labels. I cross referenced the same.
However, when I go to Insert >> Reference >> Cross
Reference, I cannot see the list of caption lables that I
used.

Hope any one would provide me a resolution.

Are the captions in frames or text boxes? Word can't see text in text boxes.

Did you create your custom caption label using the Insert | Caption dialog?

.I have not used text boxes. I used frames.

After saving and reopening the document later, the
custom label I created does not appear in the selectable
items that can be cross-referenced. I can´t introduce
more captions with the same label, nor can I cross-
reference the existing captions.
