WE HAD XP WITH WORD 2003 ALL WORKED WELL.NOW WE GOT NEW COMPUTER WITH VISTA
INSTALLED WORD2003 ON IT ,NOW FILES WE RECIVE ONLY OPEN UP IN LINGO LIKE
X0YWITH DOTS ABOVETHEM AND OTHER STRANGE SHAPES MORE LIKE COMPUTER LINGO.I AM
USUALLY PRETTY GOOD WITH COMPUTERS BUT I AM STUMPED PLEASE HELP MY WIFE NEEDS
THIS TO WORK AND IS LOOSING PATIENCE

In the File | Open dialog box, make sure that the file type is set to Word
documents, not to "Recover Text from Any File."

If the above doesn't work, try Open and Repair.
