Word2004 no longer autocorrects/spellchecks like WordX

I upgraded MS Office from X to 2004. Two features that apparently did not
make the transition are (1) my list of autocorrect entrees in Word X; (2) my
(presumably) custom dictionary in Word X (to which I had added the results
of many spellchecks over the years). Can anyone tell me if I can retrieve
these features and, if so, in which files (and locations) they are stored?

Have you tagged the text as English? If not, select all text and use Tools |
Language

(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

But the Office 2004 installer should have brought them over, if on the same
computer, so Fredrik's tip on the language may be the answer.

You should start regularly backing up these files, also.
