My word2004 always quit when I try to highlight a text to
delete(forward delete), cut or paste a text in word. However, backward
delete is fine. I try to put my Word2004 to Trash and reintall the
word. The problem still exists.

I have no idea how to fix it.

Thanks in advance if u can give me any advice.

Thanks for help John. However, the problem still exists. Even I tried
to delete the Normal.dot and create the new one because the problem
exists even I created the new blank document. And I found one thing,
when everything I select Word press Shift Click Open from finder.
There was no any problem. Work fine. Anyway, have suggestion to fix the
problem ?? Thanks.

P.S. I am using OS 10.2.XX, and I only have 256MB ram. Will it cause
the above problem??

Regards,
Chi

Hi Chi:

Word 2004 will run in 256 MB of memory, and will work in anything above OS
10.1, so that's not the problem.

Yes, it will run a LOT faster if you lift the memory to 1GB, and yes, it
will perform more reliably if you go up to at least OS 10.3.9. But that's
not the current problem.

Please work slowly through each of the suggestions here:
http://word.mvps.org/Mac/TroubleshootingIndex.html

Do them one by one, in the order mentioned. One of them will fix the
problem, but I can't tell you which one.

Cheers
