Word2007 crash while email merging with outlook

I set a word document to be emailed. i use outlook2007 and exchange2003. the
email merge reads from access2007 file.
the program runs for few hundred emails then crash with error "word
encountered an error..." every time i start the word, it will merge few more
records and crash again...this is unacceptable. is anybody encountered same
problem?
