Word2007: Multi-Document GUI Corruption

Description:
working with equations in multiple documents causes some form of GUI
corruption.

Replication:
- Open microsoft word 2007
- create a new document (if no blank one is visible)
- insert an equation
- place a matrix in equation
- open another instance of microsoft word 2007
- create a new document (if no blank one is visible)
- insert equation
- try and insert a matrix, notice visual distortion on gui when selecting a
new style

Software:
- Windows XP Professional, Office 2007 RTM, All updates for Feb 2007, office
2007 compatability pack.

Please let me know if anyone else is having this problem.

Hi Mick,

I'm not sure if I'm not looking in the right place or simply not getting the same result. Where in the GUI are you seeing a problem
(if you have a blog or website where you could post a before/after screenshot that might help) and when you say apply a new style'
what steps are you taking after the steps you listed.

The steps I used were
- Start Word to new blank document
- Insert Equation=>Binomial Theorem
- Equation Tools=>Design=>Structures=>Matrix=>3x3 Identity Matrix
(repeat)

By the way, the compatibility pack isn't used by Office 2007, only by earlier versions of MS Office to open/save Office 2007
documents.

Hi, sorry for the long time before I replied to this, but here is a webpage
that shows you all you need to see. It shows the GUI corruption in wor for
the equation editor and provides steps to duplicate it.

The GUI corruption is persistant and has been verified on several machines.
Help is appreciated.
