Am I the only one? All word docs on my computer are word 2000. I clean
installed Vista, installed OneCare, and Word 2007. No older programs exist on
this machine.

To save a word 2000 docs open in compatibility mode... to save as a Word Doc
(2007) click the MS button, convert and save... this process discards the
original in the trash and the converted document is now the latest saved
version in Documents.

But it doesn't stick... meaning when you close the program and re-open the
document (which should now be in Word 2007 format) instead it is in the Word
2000 format and opens in compatiblity mode.

Any ideas? Also, is this the appropriate discussion group for this
particular issue?Thanx.
