Word2008 does not launch

I installed OfficeMac2008 (students/home) to G5/OS10.4.11. Exel & PowerPoint work good, BUT Word cannot start.

That looks like a problem with the Word preference files....

You should try moving them to the desktop and see if you can launch Word
again. I suspect it tried to adopt the preferences you had in Word 2004
and they are incompatible,
