Word2k closes w error when saving a file

Hello, I have word 2k on a XP home machine, norton 2003.

Whenever I go to save (or save as)a document the following
message is displayed: "Winword.exe has caused a fatal
error your application needs to restart".

I have uninstalled office 2k, installed it again, upgraded
to office xp, uninstalled it, installed office 2k. same
results.

Help...
