After removing the template files in the Startup to
resolve the errors noted July 20, I find that the Tool Bar
Icons do not work. If I select the printer Icon to print
a document the application fails on error. If I select
the print commantd from the File dropdown the document
prints correctly.
Suggestions on resolving this problem or is it possible to
remove Word and reinstall to resolve these and any other
problems?

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Word but the
problems have remained. It appears that an uninstall
leaves parts which create the same problems after
reinsatlling the application.

Try resetting the toolbars (Tools | Customize | Toolbars: Reset).

It could be that the Print dialog is opening behind the document window. See

There articles do not seem to apply to my situation. I do
have Norton System Works 2003 but the article indicates
the plug-ins only apply to Office 2000 or higher. When I
check NAV the plug-ins are not active and it also states
that Word 2000 is required for the plug-ins. In any case
I again tried the print icon and it now works. I have
changed NOTHING? I'll wait until I hit the next problem
and post a new item.

Thanks

I reset the toolbas as suggested and then tried the print
icon. The application locked up and the task manager
indicated that Word was not responding. I ended the task,
reopened and made another attempt. This time I got the
fatal error and the app terminated. Any more options?
