Word97 won't open Read Only document

I'm trying to open a password protected Word document that
I received via email. When I click on "Open as Read Only",
nothing happens. Word is still open and functioning, but
no document opens up. I'm using Outlook 2000 and Word 97.
This document will open fine on other PC's.
