WordArt, Filling letter by letter

Antimo

Hi!
I have a doubt on WordArt: is it possible to apply the color fill
effect "Gradient" letter by letter?
The default behaviour is a gradient spanning the whole text, and is
not applied to each single letter.
Is it possible to have such a result in a fast way or you must draw
each letter as a separate wordart object? (but in this case the 3D
effects are difficult to be obtained...)

Many thanks,
Antimo

Yes.

you guessed it right. you must draw each letter as a separate wordart object
and align each object closely as paossible. You are going to decide the
kerning base in this scenario.

Important: If you point to Toolbars command on the View menu, you cannot
view view the 3D setting toolbar.

Do the following:

• On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
The Customize toolbar appears.
• Click the Toolbars Tab.
• Under Toolbars:, click the 3-D settings check box.
The 3-D Settings toolbars appears on the Document.
• Click each word art image you have created and apply the 3D settings.

Create your WordArt message, copy, paste special as a .wmf, ungroup, you now can
fill each letter individually.

Great tip-- but when I tried this -- I don't get the wmf option. Is that
only in newer versions of Word. I use 2000.

Thanks...

I'm not sure about Word 2000.
Is "Picture" one of the paste special choices? If so this would be equivalent to
pasting as a .wmf. I do have Publisher 2000 installed, and it works when I paste
special as a picture rather than an object.
