WordART in a protected word document

Can WordART be used in a protected word document?

The document has been protected to prevent users from changing the
appearance of the document/template (EG. Letterhead), but now they arn't able
to use any WordArt...

Is there a way of allowing the users to use WordArt on a protected document?

Not if the entire document has been protected, but if you can set
different sections up in the document (using a continuous section
break) you can THEN protect the document for forms but ONLY protect
certain sections - at which point they can do what they like to the
unprotected areas.

Thanks for your reply.

When using the continuous section break, I protect the First section in my
document, the WordArt is grayed out while editing in the second section(Once
protected), am I doing something wrong?

It would seem that layers on a protected document arn't allowed, can anyone
confirm that?

How strange - yes, that does seem to be the case - even odder is that
you CAN paste word art into the document, BUT you then aren't able to
grab it to move it around - not sure I can think of a better solution
to the problem though!
