Wordart Limitation in Pub 2003

How come there is a maximum number of characters that can be input into a
wordart box? Pub 2000 didn't have this limitation. there should be no
maximum!! I now cannot use it, and will probably stick to Pub 2000 because
of it.

I agree that there is a limit as opposed to Pub 2000. In 2003 I created a
WordArt string until it maxed out and inserted it in a 98" wide paper. Wow!
Could you share what your project entails.

Download the WordArt compatibility package. When you want to use it, insert, object,
scroll down to Microsoft WordArt

it's not ahuge projest...just the song list for a CD...but it's not the size,
it's the number of characters that concern me. I didn't use a textbox
because it is creatively (fonts, rotation, how it looks, etc.)

I did download it, but had to uninstall it because then I couldn't edit the
wordart from projects that were saved in previous versions of Publisher.
