I have Wordart images that I have hyperlinked or bookmarked to and for some reason when I reference to a specific target it sends the href wherever it wants to. When I go to code view and try to edit the html there are wicked little tags in there that prohibit me from saving my changes. When I save, everything reverts back to the screwed up links. I've struggled with this problem now for a couple of days and am unwilling to proceed until I've mastered and subdued the little bugger.
the URL is:
http://calvaryacademy-snowberryspri...album/stpix.htm
http://calvaryacademy-snowberryspri...album/ptpix.htm
Both pages are frames pages so you won't see the html regarding the problem there, but you will notice the effect when you hit the top or bottom bookmarks in the photo gallery frames. Now, when you go to the photo gallery page within these frames at
http://calvaryacademy-snowberryspri...m/st/stcont.htm o
http://calvaryacademy-snowberryspri...m/pt/ptcont.htm
you will notice they bookmark perfectly. Frontpage uses VML for the Wordart images and looking at the code view you will notice that there is no reference to a target within the href. When you try to insert a target ref. IE: target="_self" it disappears upon saving. When you view the "stpix" & "ptpix" pages in the Frontpage browser they work fine. The problem reveals itself upon publishing to the server. Go figure! You would think that since wordart is a microsoft tool, it would work smoothly with frontpage. By the way, I was fortunate to have saved a couple copies of these pages the first time I created them. When I started trying to fix the bookmarks, the targets for the HOME and ALBUM links changed, forcing them to open in the same frame. GRRRR! Oh, and I tried editing these in notepad too. They saved fine without reverting back. Upon pasting it back as a frontpage doc. it changed everything back to the screwed-up hrefs even when entering on a new page. Good grief
Thanks so much for your help with this
