Word pad doesn't provide spell checking.

Via Google you can find add-in spell checkers for Word Pad that you can
buy. If you Google on this newsgroup, you'll find this has been
discussed and answered before.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Well they're all OT then - Wordpad has nothing whatsoever to do with Office.
it's a component of the operating system.

Wordpad may be a Windows component, but its documents can be directly opened
into Office, Open Office, Notepad ( a Windows component since Win 95), or a
number of other programs you can choose. So at least in that way it has a
"relationship to Word." Word documents could be opened into Wordpad or with
Notepad using the Open with dialgoue box from the right click context menu.

Windows Explorer is a Windows App, but it is tightlly related to IE, a
Windows compoent and both of them have relationships with OE and Outlook and
Office, and OE and Outlook have ties as well. All you have to do to open a
Word Pad document into Word (an Office app last time I checked is to add
Word or a number of document formats to the right click context menu as an
option to open the Wordpad doc as a Word document should you want the
functionality of Word-aside from pasting it there.

I guess it all depends what the meaning of relationship and nothing
whatsoever is, and what the meaning of "is" is as well.

Best,

Chad Harris
