WordPerfect 7.0 - invalid page fault in module Shell32.DLL

I've used WP7 for years on my Windows 98 SE system with no
problems (I know, I know, I'm a dinosaur). All of a suuden
a few days ago when I started WP7 I got the following error
message:

"This program has performed an illegal operation and will
be shut down"

The details say: "Invalid page fault in module Shell32.DLL
at 0167:6680laf2"

No amount of rebooting or uninstalling and reinstalling of
WP7 fixes the problem.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Or maybe I should emerge
from the stone age and switch to Word 2000?

I won't advise you whether you should "emerge from the stone age," but if
you do, the current version of Word is 2002, with 2003 due out before the
end of the year. As for questions about WP7, you'll need to ask them in a WP
NG. I understand that Corel does have user forums or NGs at its Web site.
