WordPerfect converters/plugin

Reed

I have jumped over to MAC from PC, but I have WordPerfect 6.0 documents
I would wish to convert to Word 2004. Does Word 2004 have a built-in
converter or plug-in I missed on install?

WordPerfect/Word for PC has converters, but you must specify on install
to have this portion of the program load.

Thanks.

Hi,
no, Mac Word does not have the WordPerfect converter, mostly because
WordPerfect is not a format that you would encounter that frequently in a
Mac environment due to the absence of a Mac version of WordPerfect. You
should have a look at a thread called "Need to open Word Perfect and MS
works files on Office 2004 Word"

ad/thread/66dc175607dea312/4e87e1dcde5b8be7?hl=en#4e87e1dcde5b8be7> for
further suggestions.

You can find a lot of suggestions in the threads, but I convert WP documents
regularly and I highly recommend NeoOffice/J. It does a wonderful
job of converting Word Perfect documents to Word format. Although the
default is to save in OpenOffice format, you can set it to save by default
in Word.

Neo is also useful in opening Word and Powerpoint documents created on the
PC. I find that it often does a better job of conversion (especially graphic
elements like rotated texts) than the Mac versions of Word & Powerpoint.

You can get it from:
