WordPerfect

My wife runs an eMac under Tiger and Office 2004 for the Mac. She has a
number of WordPerfect documents that she is painfully converting to MSWord
by reading them on a Windows machine with Office 2003, saving them as rtf,
and then reading the rft into Office 2004.

I imagine there is a better way. Any advice would be welcome.

Download and install WordPerfect Mac following these instructions:

I highly recommend NeoOffice/J for anyone running OS X. It does a wonderful
job of converting Word Perfect documents to Word format. Although the
default is to save in OpenOffice format, you can set it to save by default
in Word.

AbiWord does a pretty good job on converting WP and it looks more Mac-like,
but it doesn't handle complex WP docs nearly as well as Neo.

Neo is also useful in opening Word and Powerpoint documents created on the
PC. I find that it often does a better job of conversion (especially graphic
elements like rotated texts) than the Mac versions of Word & Powerpoint.
