words around a circle patch/ not w/o using word art

Hello,


I want to put text around a circle. I want that text to follow the path of
the circle. I don't want the text to increase in size.

If I use word art, and create the circle text, the problem is the text
increases, or decreases with the size of the text?

So their is not really easy way for the letters to follow the contour of a
circle itself?
I use 2003, I am surprised Publisher hasn't incorporated that into its
program. Makes it so much easier

I have a workaround for Publisher to follow the contours of a circle if you are
talking about inside the circle. It isn't pretty, but it works. Again, scroll

Thanks, your first post is what I was trying to do.
Just I was trying to keep the font size the same around the contour of the
circle without the font size increasing around the circle.....Say, a 10-12
font around a circle.
By putting spaces around a 3 inch circle the font would remain its size, in
word art, the size increases when you drag it around the circle. The one you
have " Mary had a little lamb would be right, but the font size is to big?
If that makes sense to you?

Have you ever used the old WordArt? There is a compatibility utility. You use it
by Insert, Object, Scroll down to Microsoft WordArt 3.2. It works in 2007 too.
I only recommend it because it does retain the font size. It takes getting use
to however.
