Words Cut Off

I have a document that certain groups of text get cut off or squashed.
(certain companies or names only shot top half) I don't know what this is
about. I e mailed Bob -- he only has a post script printer. Just
wondering if there is anyone I can e mail this to who has regular laser or
home printer -- or if any other ideas exist about this problem. Thanks!!!!

I have a HP laserjet 1200 USB printer. You can send me your workbook.

Bernard:
I sent you the file with e mail address I had on you and it came back.
Perhaps I typed it wrong or it's no longer valid.
I then tried, "reply to sender on this group", and while I post fine to
group, it came back and said that it could not send with my new hotmail
account -- any idea why that is? I just tried again, but if you don't see
it in a few minutes, how can I get this to you. Thanks!

I have to change my address from time to time, so I suppose the one you used
whasn't valid anymore. Simply use the above address (reply to sender should
do that) but don't forget to remove the "DontSpamMe." part, then. Is this
what you tried? It usually works fine...

Great! got response. I had both times new roman 12 and Ariel 10. This was
done by a typist, not me. So I unified whole document to Ariel 10. I also
set cells for whole document to vertical align center. I think it is now
better and I'm going to e mail new version to you.

1) Please go over cell alignment and what that is all about. Do you think
my typist changed it from down to top. She will probably say she does not
even know what that is -- and I believe her --as I have never looked at
that either.

2) why is my right margin twice as large as my left even though I set both
to zero?
Thanks!

Arial's not necessarily the best choice you can make. Try a more "recent"
one, maybe like "Verdana" (the new Excel standard font).

Someone did set it to "Top", as the standard is "Down". But I can understand
it is more readable in a document where you have several lines in one cell
to choose to set it to "Top". It's a matter of choice to be made. Each
setting has good and bad points.

Excel pushes the cells to the right margin. That's the default setting. If
you want to have it centered, you have to set it. In the "Page Setup..."
"Margins" tab, you'll find a "Center on page" area at bottom. Check the
"Horizontally" box, and your margins will be equal.

As it has already been pointed out, don't forget that your printer may have
some specific margin limitations, and you may have a fixed limit to your
margins. So you could have better results setting your margins to 1/2"
rather than 0.

Thanks Bernard:
I would never have though of using Ariel , but I tried verdana and at the
same size (10pt) the file went from 72 pages 110, with lot more 2nd lines of
text. I like Verdana, but what's the great advantage ?
I got perfect margins with 1/2" on each side. I guess I can't get less.
