Wordwrap barchart labels in PowerPoint

Barchart labels in PowerPoint sometimes wordwrap, and sometimes they don't.
(When they don't, the label can get really long and the barchart area very
small)

How do you force the barchart label to wordwrap in PowerPoint?

Unfortunately, you don't have any control over the line breaks and
"paragraph" formatting for charts. Best solution I can tell you is to add
the labels manually. Or make a copy of your chart, drag it off to the side
and size to 5% x 5% (so you still have the data available) and ungroup the
chart on the slide, then format the labels. You may have to ungroup the
chart twice, depending on your version of PPT.
