Work % and work hours

I have a task that is scheduled for 3 days (24 wk hrs). We have completed the
24 work hours, but we are only 75% done with the task. How do I get Project
to recognize this in the Tracking Table?

Jamie,

If you have set the actual work to 24 hrs and the task is not complete you
should increase the Remaining Work to reflect what still remains to be done.
If after setting Actual Work to 24 hrs you still need another day add 8 hrs
to the remaining work field.

Hi Jamie,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Enter the Actual Work as 24h and the Remaining Work as 8h.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Jamie,

In the Work table, you entered 24h in Actual Work field. Project calculted
the remaining work : 0h
But you can correct the remaining work : 8 h
Project will calculate the % of Work Complete : 75%
The total amount of work will increase : to 32h

Hope this helps,

Gérard Ducouret
