Work around: todo link

This isn't earth shattering or anything but I was quite annoyed as I began
using OneNote to find that I couldn't link OneNote entries to Outlook items
without moving the items out of Outlook and into the file system. I thought
this simple work around might help people to add shortcuts to items without
moving the items themselves out of the Outlook. Add the todo as a shortcut
to a journal item. Move or copy the journal item into OneNote (i.e. into
the file system underneath the program). The hyperlink in OneNote will open
the journal item and the todo shortcut will still be attached. This
shortcut will still work and will allow you to manipulate the original item
even though it is still located in Outlook.

As I said, nothing earth shattering but for me this work around could make
light weight project management with OneNote easier while retaining the
power of leaving relevant items in Outlook for views and lists.

You might check into Outlook Linker, a freeware utility found here: http://www.mapistore.com/Outlook/Development/Review_00167_index.html
that you can use to create links to items in Outlook.
