Work Calculations

I have a project where the "Work" is not calculated
correctly. On the resource sheet, it shows a resource,
with no assignments, with over 2000 hours. My tasks right
now are fixed duration, effort driven turned off.

Any ideas?

Check Tools | Options | Calculate-tab and see if it is set to Manual or
Automatic.

I had it set to manual because it was several large projects linking together and was taking a very long time to load. I heard a tip that setting the calc. to manual would help - I did press <F9> to update them.
