Work like a little help with a very simple formual

J

Jess

Excel 2007

one cell has a number 240, next cell has number 22.7, I want to
multiply these numbers together and come out with 5.4, not 5448

also one cell has a number 240, next cell has number 9.0, I want to
multiply these numbers together and come out with 2.2 not 2160.

What I am doing is calculating electrical ratings. 240 volts times
22.7 amperes to get kw.

Thanks for your time!

you're correct
Volt * Ampere = Watt (W)
Volt * Ampere/1000 = KiloWatt (kW)

Thanks, like duh on my part. I knew I was being blind and it was
simply, I was just trying to make things hard, which I do quiet often.

Thanks and have a great rest of the week.
