Work schedule in the past for new resource

Hi. I am facing a problem with project server 2007:

Sometime into the project, the PM is notified he can use another
resource. He adds the new resource (build team from enterprise), and
assigns him to some already-existing tasks.
The problem is after "resource leveling" the assignment is scheduled
for the past, to a date that the resource was not available to the
project.
What should the PM do so Project will schedule tasks for this resource
only in the future?

Hi,

Before leveling (or after a clear leveling) select the tasks that resoruce
will be working on
Tools menu, Tracking, Reschedule uncompleted work to start after...
Now you cna level at ease.

Hi Jan, thanks for your advice.
Is this action equivalent to apply a "Start no earlier than"
constraint on the selected task? and if so, is there any advantage for
one of the methods on the other?
