work vs duration

Situation: I need to schedule sample analysis that will take 60h of work, but
the samples will actually be received irregularly over a period of 3 months.
What is the best way to do this?

Enter the Duration : 3mo
Insert the work column : Insert / Column / Work
Enter the Work value : 60h
Assign your resource : Project will calculate an assignment at 14%
