I have an irregular work week where I don't work some days
and I come in earlier some days and leave later on other
days. When I put my work schedule into Outlook I can't
address the early and late times (as far as I can tell),
so I put the earliest time that I come in as the start
time (10:30 am) and the latest time that I leave as the
end time (5:30 pm). I then have recurring events that
block out the time from my start time to the time I come
in on the late days and another recurring event for the
days that I leave early. The day of the week that I don't
come in I leave unchecked.
A colleague has a normal 9-6, 5 days/wk schedule. There
are a couple problems:
1. The schedule doesn't show that I'm not there on the
day that I'm off.
2. When he tries to schedule time with me, he doesn't see
that I come in later than he does and that I leave
earlier. The recurring events show up as busy.
Any ways to get around this?
