I am on an exchange 2003 server with Webdav enabled.

To send appointment:
- Create the appointment and invite people
- It will fail to send and be stuck in your outbox
- Drag it from the outbox to the drafts folder in your email account (not
"on my computer")
- Delete the original from your outbox
- Double-click on the appointment in your drafts folder and click "send now"

To accept an appointment
- Buy an iphone
- Set up your exchange account on the iphone
- Accept the appointment from the iphone

Simple!

This doesn't work in some cases. I have Exchange 2007 and Office 2008, and
the items in the Drafts folder end up stuck back in the Outbox.

It seems that you have installed the latest version of Office 2008 for Mac.
This is a known issue with this update

We have to wait for the next release.. till that time either revert back to
12.1.2 or accept it using OWA
