Workbook Password

Cannot protect a workbook with a password.
Can enter a password, save file, close. When the workbook
is reopened, excel does not ask for a password.
Seems to work OK for a single sheet, but not for the
workbook.

Hi

It sounds like you are using the Tools, Protection menu items to protect the
workbook and maybe what you are really trying to do is put a file open
password in place. If so, that is done by using the File menu, Save As,
Options and then entering the passwords.

Be careful with file open passwords, because if you forget it, they are much
more difficult to crack than workbook and worksheet passwords.
