Working hours database

I currently work with a volunteer organisation. At the moment, we have no
way of telling on what days volunteers are going to work and at what times.
There are appox. 50 volunteers, split up into 8 groups which are each led by
a supervisor.

What we would like to be able to do is allow each volunteer access to a
database. They will access this database on the Friday of every week. In
that database, they will choose a date for the coming week, a start time and
a finish time. This will then show us what days individuals will be working
and at what time. We would like the volunteers to be able to add several
days and times if need be (in case they can work more than once.)

Now, what we would also like is for the supervisors to be able to view a
week at the click of a button and see which volunteers will be coming in one
what days and on what times?

Is this possible with MS Access? Does anybody know of any good templates
that I may use or does anybody have a similar DB which I can adapt?

This can be done fairly straight forward. Unfortunately, I don't have any
samples for you to use. Assuming that you aren't concerned about exclusive
shifts, e.g. if I sign up for a shift no else can, it's pretty straight
forward. You might want to set some parameters so the wise guys out there
don't enter strange times when thre is no need for them to work.

Once the data are captured, if you know who belongs on what teams, the
reporting is pretty simple too.
