Working Offline Question

Dale, the solution you posted below works, if you save offline on the machine
you connected to the network with, however, if you have a desktop in the
office (that is connected to the backend), and you want to take the project
file with you on your laptop or a thumb drive, how do you get the "offline"
file from the desktop to your laptop or to your thumb drive?

I saved offline and cannot find the file anywhere. TIA

Please do not cross post. I answered your question in the
microsoft.public.project newsgroup already.

Mukul,

You should not save the plan offline from your desktop but rather save the
plan offline from your laptop so that you can get to it from you laptop once
you have disconnected. The file that is saved offline from the server is
not stored on your machine in a traditional way like an mpp file that you
can transfer from one location to another.

Hope that helps,

Jonathan

Unless your using 2007 then you can save it out as an MPP file for offline
editing.
