Working on a LAN

I am trying to use Outlook 2000 on a LAN at work. We use a
server to establish a dial up internet connection through
a local ISP. Also our email account is on usa.net. When I
try to use Outlook from my computer to get the massages
from the site, I get an error 0x800cc0d very quickly. It
looks like that it even doesn't try to connect to the POP
server. Please help.

So you have internet connection sharing on a computer on your LAN? Can you
access the Internet in any way? Have you tried opening a browser? Can you
run a telnet session to your POP mail server in a command line -

For Win9x/ME - Start | run | command <enter>
For WinNT/2k/XP - Start | run | cmd <enter>

telnet <whatever your pop server is - pop.usa.net or whatever> 110 <enter>

Yes, I do have internet connection and I can use Internet
Explorer. However, when I tried to do what you suggested,
it didn't connect! I don't know what the problem is.
Please help.

Did you get any error messages?
