Working time change only takes effect after closing a project?

Hi all,

This newsgroup has been an imense help for me while setting up a new Project
Server.

I'm running into a problem with changing working times for enterprise
resources. I'm able to change days for individual resources to non-working
time in the Enterprise Resource Pool. However, it seems like I have to close
out of whatever project I'm in at the time and re-open it to get the project
to recognize that the time for that resource cannot be assigned.

Basically, if I change the time to non-working with a project open, it will
allow me to schedule a resource during that non-working time in the project
unless I open and then close it.

This is a serious problem for me, as I want to leave my master project open.
Closing it and re-opening it is a process that takes over an hour and I don't
want to have to do this every time a resource requests a day off. Does anyone
have a solution to this extremely frustrating issue?

Thanks for all the help I've gotten so far just by reading other's posts!

That's really unfortunate for me. :)

Is there perhaps a better way to open the master project so it does not take
so long? Currently, opening it is a snap. However, to do anythihng
meaningful, such as level resources, I need to expand each project (by doing
a show all after selecting all the projects) and wait for a little over an
hour for all 250 projects to open. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the prompt reply.
