Working w/ Switchboards in A2K

hi (newbie disclaimer: i know what i know and not a drop more):

i have used the switchboard mgr in a2k to create my menu system.

my user(s) are hoping they can have it even easier. what they would like is
to have a combobox somewhere on it so that once they have completed the
action item on the first menubar (which opens to a "Patient Registration"
form), they can 'dial-up' the "Patient Number" from the switchboard and then
have every form which they are taken to by the other menubars open to the
selected "Patient Number's" record.

is this doable?
