working with documents

I work in property management. I have to fill out pre-written leases in
word. The only informaton that we change is the name, address, rent and some
other moving in information in a few different places on our forms. Right
now we have to arrow over to the places that we want to fill in the info and
erase the information that is currently in the document. I thought that
maybe there was some type of mail merge thing we culd do or make it so we
could tab over to the feilds that needed changeing. Does anyone have nay
suggestion.

You could set this up as a protected form, which would allow you to Tab from
field to field; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm and especially
the forms tutorials by Dian Chapman that this article links to.

Alternatively, if you want the document to remain editable, you can use
MacroButton fields and skip to the next one with F11; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/UsingMacroButton.htm

A third approach is to use a UserForm; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Userforms/CreateAUserForm.htm

I have read your post and it looks promising. I am going to try one of these
methods when I get to work on Monday. Thank you so much for your response.
