Working with fields in a view

I have created a custom field "Attended" (yes/no type) on the By Categories
view in an Exchange Public Folder and I would like to populate it
programmatically. Is this possible?

I would like to highlight all the contacts that should be flagged as "Yes"
and run a script that will do this for all of them (highlighted ones).

I just don't know how to reference a field that exists only on a view and
not in a form.

You would have to add the property to each item with the UserProperties.Add method before setting the value.
