pl help me about working with multiple consolidation ranges... i have to
consolidate five years data in a single pivot table. i have done consolidated
pivot table, but unable to change the row field which i need. it is
automatically taken some column as a row field.. how to change the row
field.. if any body can help can call me in my mobile also 9380586696. or
please reply to my query.

Hi,

You should put all 5 years worth of data in the same source range - one year
below the other. Then build a pivot table from that. There is a way to
build a pivot table from an outer join to create the same effect, however,
that is a lot more complicated that most users would be willing to use.

The Multiple Consolidation ranges option is really not what you want,
although you can use it to combine the data into an output range which can
then be used for a pivot table. All that does in your example, though, is
save you a couple of Copy and Paste commands - not worth the trouble.
