Working with new accounts in linked BCM/OA database

When I create a new account in BCM2007 my understanding is that it is
available in OA2008. This does not seem to be the case completely. I can
create the account but it does not show up in OA. Additionally if I try to
create a new Quote in BCM with the account I just created it seems to work
fine until you save the quote and then you get an error. The best I can
think of is that it can't find the account and that is the reason for the
error.

Is this the intended behaviour or should I do things differently.

I recall from browsing the OA newsgroup, that they hide new Customers
created from BCM Accounts. There's a pulldown somewhere in OA with the
option to see All customers. Or search the OA newsgroup for more
details.
