Hi Mathew
Hey a friend just sent me an OpenOffice attachment (file extension
.ODT). Any suggestions on how I can get Word 2K to play nice, and let
me view the doc? Thanks!
The usual answer on "how can I open an OO file in Word?" is "by
downloading and installing OO and "saving as" something Word can read
directly.
I haven't found anything on the microsoft website which suggests this
was different for an OpenDocument text file. :-(
If I understand the format correctly, it is XML, so there might be a
transform/converter out there.
http://o3.phase-n.com/index.html is
working on a server-side solution, but there doesn't seem to be a
finished version already.
HTH
