working with PDF file loses save as option in Word?

I have a co-worker that is having problems with her Word 2003 losing the
"save as" option. It seems like after opening a PDF document the
functionality goes away and can only be restored after rebooting the system.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Lori,

Are you saying she's opening a PDF document from within Word? It's not a format that Word supports on its own.

No, it is when she has viewed a PDF from Internet Explorer or has worked with
a PDF for some reason the functions in word are affected. She loses her cut,
paste, save as, and other functions. Maybe the two instances are not related
but apparently that is when she notices the changes in Word.
